Meet Karyn

Originally from Staten Island, NY, Karyn's obsession with Thoroughbreds started at just 3 years old when she watched AlySheba win the Kentucky Derby. Ever since then, Karyn knew she wanted to train race horses. Karyn attended SUNY Cobleskill for Thoroughbred management and graduated in 2003. Right after graduation, she took a job with Todd Pletcher at Saratoga racetrack and the rest is history.

Based in Florence, KY, Karyn Wittek Racing is a small stable with an experienced hands-on trainer. Our mission is to understand each horse’s specific needs and provide the best care and personal training plans for each individual.
